once upon a time I fell in love with an ice berg
......that melted into a bleeding heart
.........that would heal only if i left
once upon another time I fell for a smile in the sky
........ that opened my heart
................................in a such a melodious fashion

this is the first time i'm writing a song since the kwey peng song a couple of years ago
i got off the plane, had tears rolling down my cheeks
and so here it goes
Maybe Today Maybe Yesterday... I Want To Fly
don't know how
dont know why
maybe today
or maybe yesterday
don't know how or why
i want to fly
to fly by your side
want the moon to collide with the stars in the sky
i want to fly
maybe today
maybe yesterday
i want to fly in the sky
break the moon, the stars, in the sky
don't know how or why
the sky broke open
to this august tune
maybe today
i want to fly
fly by your side
oh the tears
falling from my eyes
i just want to fly

"My colleages and I are of that generation of young men who went through the Second World War and the Japanese Occupation and became determined that no one - neither the Japanese nor the British - had the right to push and kick us around. We were determined that we could govern ourselves and bring up our children in a country where we can be a self-respecting people."

Happy Birthday Kira...
There is something about birthdays that trigger such appreciation for friends, their births, the shape their lives have taken and the way they have become a part of my life.

"In the old days, if someone had a secret they didn't want to share... you know what they did? They went up a mountain, found a tree, carved a hole in it, and whispered the secret into the hole. Then they covered it with mud. And left the secret there forever." - In The Mood For Love

Did the summer just fly away?... the temperature rose and dropped just like 'that'
"just like 'that'" is how most events have errupted and subsided in my life recently
some moments I still look around my room in utter and complete disbelief... one moment I was... and in the next moment I wasn't...
in a few moments I will be in REM land.
thoughts for tonight are that:- there is a price to pay for liberty and that price is one that's well worth paying for...
i look at the palm of my left hand and once again the lines have changed
